November 8, 2007 Congress overrides Bush WRDA vetoThe Senate Thursday voted 79-14 to override the President's veto of the Water Resources Development Act. The House earlier this week voted 361 to 54 to override the veto. The Waterways Resources Development Act, which allocates funds for many important waterways development, flood protection and wetlands restoration, now becomes law.
