 September 14, 2006 Solstad Offshore inks LOI for construction vessel Norway's Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) and Flekkefjord Slipp og Maskinfabrikk AS have signed a letter of intent for the building ofa large construction vessel. SOFF is building the vessel for a six year (plus options) contract with Subsea 7. The vessel will have a length of 113 m and width of 24 m, will be purpose built for the Inspection Maintenance and Repair (IMR) segment. The vessel's design has been developed in close cooperation between SOFF, Subsea 7 and Vik-Sandvik AS.
