PGS employees abducted offshore Nigeria

Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) reports that "shortly after midnight on Thursday, November 2nd, two PGS employees, one U.S. citizen and one U.K. citizen, were abducted by a group of armed men from the vessel HD Commander while anchored near the Funiwa Platform offshore Bayelsa state," Nigeria.

PGS says it is "currently doing everything possible to solve this unfortunate situation." It has mobilized its Emergency Crisis organization and is getting assistance from third party experts. Currently PGS has had no demands from the kidnappers.

The company hopes that contact can soon be established with the hostage takers and is coordinating efforts to bring this situation to a quick and successful conclusion.

All other crew members are uninjured and out of risk.
