Shore power door for Norwegian Star
When Norwegian Cruise Line's 91,740 grt Norwegian Star enters BAE Systems San Francisco Ship Repair next month for its next scheduled drydocking, the ship will be fitted with a 1 m x 2 m watertight side shell door for the connection of shore power when in port.
The door has been deigned by Gothenburg, Sweden, headquartered TTS Ships Equipment, which will deliver the door with a complete coaming for quick and easy installation. It will include a new power pack and electrical control system.
Installation will be supervised by the new, Miami-based TTS Marine, Inc.
This is the second such TTS door to be installed on an NCL ship. The first was installed last year on the 75,338 gt Norwegian Spirit.
