December 5, 2006 Daewoo books orders worth $600 million
Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co the world's second-largest shipbuilder has announced three orders worth a combined US$600 million to build six ships for three companies. The orders are for two crude oil carriers for Sovcomflot, two tankers for Liberian registration for an undisclosed owner and two car carriers for Leif Hoegh & Co. The ships will be delivered by January 2011. |
