Kleven adds another MPSV to orderbook
Kleven Verft, Ulsteinvik Norway has signed a contract with O. H. Meling & Co. Stavanger, for the delivery of one new sophisticated offshore vessel
This is the third contract announced this month by Kleven Maritime, which now has an order backlog of 3.8 billion NOK (about $600 million) at its three yards and design company.
The latest contract is for a MarinTeknikk design MT 6000 MK II Multi Purpose Supply Vessel (MPSV) and is worth around NOK 205 million (about $32.4 million).
The vessel is 85.65 m long, with at breadth of 19.70 m, and features extensive cargo tank capacity and a 932 sq. m cargo deck.
The vessel will be powered by a diesel electric system by CAT, with Rolls-Royce Marine Azipull propulsion.
Deivery is slated for December 2006.
