Sabine Transportation CEO gets prison sentence

A federal judge in Miami on Friday sentenced Rick Dean Stickle, chairman and CEO of Sabine Transportation Co, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. to 33 months in prison in connection with the 1999 dumping of 442 tons of fuel-contaminated wheat from the S.S. Juneau .

U.S. District Judge Alan Gold also ordered Stickle to pay $60,000 in fines.

Stickle remains free on bond pending an expected appeal.
