Coast Guard and EPA act to free-up response resources for Gulf

The Coast Guard and EPA have acted to free up more spill response resources for deployment to the Gulf spill clean-up effort.

The two agencies have issued an emergency temporary interim rule that suspends oil spill response plan requirements for facilities and vessels whose response resources are relocated in support of the Deepwater Horizon spill of national significance (SONS) response.
