Seajacks takes delivery of harsh environment liftboat
Oslo-listed Seajacks International (SEAJ) has taken delivery of the first of two GustoMSC NG2500X harsh environment liftboats from Lamprell Energy Limited's offshore fabrication yard in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
Seajacks Kraken was delivered on time and on budget and will shortly leave on a heavy-lift vessel for Halifax, Canada to commence a five months job for ExxonMobil.
With the North Sea market in mind, the GustoMSC NG2500X has been designed to comply with regulations specified by U.K., Dutch and Danish regulatory bodies. Its four leg design provides stability and reduces the time required for jacking and preloading. Features include a 300 mt crane to facilitate heavy lifts while a 50 m boom gives extended reach for increased access to platform topsides. A large deck area (900 sq.m)enables it to accommodate well intervention and construction equipment
The vessel is self propelled (8 knots) and DP2 equipped.
Accommodations for 90 persons provide enough berths to accommodate construction, maintenance and well intervention crews.
