MacGregor cranes for 24 ABG bulkers
Cargotec's MacGregor unit has been contracted to supply around €25 million worth of cargo-handling cranes for 24 bulk carriers under construction at ABG Shipyard in India.
The 32,000 dwt to 35,000 dwt bulk carriers are on order for Asian and European owners
Paul Söderstedt, sales manager for MacGregor cranes says: "This is a significant order for MacGregor. We were able to offer the shipyard an effective crane design that met the vessels' cargo-handling needs."
MacGregor's scope of supply for each vessel includes four GLB3026-2 cranes with a SWL of 30 tonnes. The cranes will be fitted with MacGregor's new control system CC3000, designed to ensure smooth, fast and stepless crane control.
