July 8, 2009 Bender lists largest unsecured claimsBender Shipbuilding & Repair, which is now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, has filed a document with the court that lists creditors holding the 20 largest unsecured claims. Topping the list is Maritrans Operating Company L.P. at $14 million. Bender says "This claim is estimated and the debtor reserves all rights as to the amount of the claim and the valuation of the collateral in which Maritrans [asserts] a security interest." Bender also says that $3 million of the claim is secured. Next comes Gulfmark Offshore, shown by Bender as having an unsecured claim of $7.65 million. Bender says the claim is "contingent, unliquidated and disputed" and that it "disputes this claim in its entirety and asserts that it is subject to a contractual cap of $7.65 million." Bender lists Trico Marine Services as having an unsecured claim of $5,006,500.37--which it notes as unliquidated and disputed. Job Crafters, Inc. of Mobile has an unsecured claim listed at $3,937,758.05 Other unsecured creditors with large claims are Schottel GmbH ($813,035.75) and Jamestown Metal Marine Sales ($413,905).
