February 12, 2009 Geiger to be BIW presidentJohn "Dugan" Shipway is stepping down as president of General Dynamics Bath Iron Works after five years at the shipbuilder's helm, reports website mainebiz.biz Shipway, 65, a former rear admiral in the U.S. Navy, will hand the reins to Jeff Geiger, currently senior vice president of operations at BIW, when his resignation becomes effective April 1.
