MSC looking at HSV

The latest U.S. military entity looking at acquiring High Speed Vessels is the Navy's Military Sea Lift Command.

MSC is requesting information about the cost and availability of one or more U.S. or foreign flag (to be re-flagged U.S.) high speed vessel(s). Anticipated delivery schedule is February-August 2005 at Naha, Okinawa, Japan. The vessel must be capable of maintaining a laden speed of 33 knots in moderate weather with a minimum range of 1,240 nm, maximum laden draft of 16 ft loaded with mission cargo and fuel.
