Title XI hearings
The Senate Committee on Commerce Science and Transportation will hear testimony May 15 relating to management problems concerning the U.S. Maritime Administration Title XI loan guarantee program recently identified by the Department of Transportation Inspector General and the General Accounting Office, and the need for programmatic reforms. Committee Chairman Senator John McCain will preside. Witnesses will be announced at a later time.
